Supreme Pecan Pie

Farm Favorite Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup frozen shortening
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 1/2 tablespoons cold water
4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans

Instructions:
Cut shortening into flour and salt. Add water by tablespoons. Roll out dough. Cut to fill a pie pan and crimp edges. Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter, and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into pie shell and top with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes.
