Recipe of The Month: Dill Pickles Made Sweet

Ingredients


4 ½ cups sugar
½ cups vinegar
1 gallon whole dill pickles
1 ½ cups brown sugar
3 cups water


Instructions


Drain all liquid from pickles. Rinse with water and drain again. Slice, dice or cut as desired. Meanwhile, mix and bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Pour liquid over pickles, cool and refrigerate, or seal jars and store without refrigeration. You may also add sweet pickle spices before sealing.
